Camaya Coast: Camaya Sands Resort and Leisure Day Tour

Friday, January 9, 2015
Last December 2014, I had the chance to visit Camaya Sands Resort and Leisure in Mariveles, Bataan. I availed two Metrodeal "Travel by Sea and Enjoy Bataan with a Camaya Sands Day Tour" vouchers for 1,899 pesos each. The fine print includes ferry transfers (from Sun Cruises Inc. Terminal/PICC Port to Camaya Coast and Camaya Coast to Sun Cruises PICC Port), buffet lunch, free usage of bikes, kayaks and billiards.

Getting to Sun Cruises Terminal/PICC Port

Upon reaching Buendia, me and my husband have taken a cab to Sun Cruises Terminal/PICC port. Since there is no traffic, we were able to get there in less than twenty minutes.

Nearest Train Station: LRT1 Vito Cruz
Jeepney Routes: Vito Cruz to CCP Complex/PICC
Nearest Landmarks: Coconut Palace, SOFITEL, PICC, Star City and Folk Arts Theater

Camaya Sands Resort and Leisure: Arrival, Lunch, Activities

The ferry left the terminal at 10AM and reached Camaya Sands Resort and Leisure at a12PM. The ferry ride is comfortable and fun. My husband just felt a bit dizzy after an hour ride when the ferry gets too shaky. He is so thankful he managed to get to the resort without vomiting.

We enjoyed walking on the floating bridge but not so happy with the beach water as it is not too clear. The place is nice and guests were served with welcome drinks though. Below are some photos of the beach, the view and resort facilities.

We had our lunch at the Function Hall. The complimentary meal consists of Menudo, Fish Fillet with sauce and Chopsuey.

After lunch, we checked the Infinity Pool, which is really nice and ideal for both kids and adults.

We then checked the souvenir shop where we also obtain our locker key. Getting a locker should be the first thing we've done as we almost ran out of lockers. Good thing there is one left at the men's area. The resort should add more lockers especially at the women's area.

After ensuring safety of our bags, we then enjoyed the view and tried some activities such as biking, playing billiards and kayaking.

We had our dinner at the Wood Pavilion. Price of foods range from 240 pesos to 520 pesos. We ordered Pork and Chicken Adobo for 380 pesos and it is good for two already.

After dinner, the fire dances began. We were not able to finish watching the fire dancers as we need to board the ferry bound for Manila on time. Camaya Coast ferry left the resort at 8pm and reached Manila at 10pm.

Me and my husband had a great time. We will surely visit Camaya Sands again in the future!
